Webinar: COVID-19, Women Workers, And The Healthy Supply Chain

As COVID-19 has closed stores, shut down business operations and decimated factory production, the harm to women workers is both immediate and long-term, particularly in the apparel and footwear sectors where women make up the majority of the workforce. The establishment of a new normal will depend on actions taken now to build resilient supply chains and address the impact on women – and men workers – and their access to health care and critical social services.

The United Nations Foundation’s Universal Access Project, Business for Social Responsibility (BSR)’s HERproject, and the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) hosted a webinar COVID-19, Women Workers, and the Healthy Supply Chain on Tuesday, June 9th 2020 where leading experts in the apparel and footwear sectors discussed the global situation for supply chains during the COVID-19 pandemic.
