The Resilience Fund

The Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains is redefining corporate investment and philanthropy to power local, women-led change.

The Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains, housed within the United Nations Foundation, was born out of cross-sector collaboration and a desire for collective action to drive systemic change in the wake of the pandemic.

In 2021, the Universal Access Project joined BSR, Women Win/Win-Win Strategies and five corporate partners to launch the Resilience Fund for Women in Global Value Chains, a first-of-its-kind pooled funding initiative that allows companies and corporate foundations to invest in the long-term health, well-being and economic resilience of the women workers in their global value chains.

The pooled funding over three years is supporting local and regional women’s funds, women-led organizations and feminist leaders with unrestricted funding for locally led solutions. The goal is to catalyze a new era of corporate investment and philanthropy through pooled funding, democratized processes and women-led change, and to build new networks between investors and grassroots women's organizations.
